CNCMate: CNC speeds and feeds, decided in seconds.

view on the app store ↗ ios · iphone & ipad

Find optimal CNC milling settings in under 10 seconds — no more hours of searching forums and spreadsheets. CNCMate turns machine, material and tool into spindle speed, feed rate and depth of cut, as a safe, standard or fast preset.

Machine, material, tool — then a preset

CNCMate works in three steps. Choose a machine from 111 verified entries — routers such as Shapeoko, X‑Carve, Onefinity, LongMill, MPCNC, CNC‑STEP, Sorotec or BZT. Choose a material from 121 options, from wood and plastic to metal (aluminum, steel and more), composites and stone. Choose from 147 bits, end mills and V‑bits included, and the app returns three rated presets: safe, standard or fast.

What it calculates

Spindle speed (RPM), feed rate, plunge rate, depth of cut per pass and step‑over, plus router dial settings for Makita, DeWalt and Bosch. A built-in bit advisor recommends a tool for the material and operation, a time estimate covers the whole job, and a test‑grid generator produces a systematic set of parameters to try on scrap material first.

Built for three kinds of user

Hobby beginners get a safe starting point instead of guesswork. Experienced makers get a fast way to test a new material. Workshop professionals get a quick reference at the machine, without digging through old forum threads.

  • Safety validation against machine limits, with warnings for aggressive settings
  • Material-specific notes alongside every preset
  • Save favourite setups for repeat jobs
  • Test log with photos and your own ratings
  • Share a setting as an image card via iMessage, WhatsApp or social media

CNCMate calculates reference settings — it doesn't generate G‑code, simulate a toolpath, or replace careful testing when you try a new material for the first time. The free demo covers MDF with a Makita router and plywood with a V‑bit; the full machine, material and tool database needs Premium. Digitalbucht is the sole proprietorship of Emil Deak, based in Wülfrath, Germany.

Data and privacy

CNCMate doesn't request any device permissions. Every input — machines, materials, projects — stays on your device. Besides the purchase data needed to unlock Premium, nothing leaves the phone. No adverts, no tracking, no advertising identifier.
